Waterfall height

I’d slightly twisted my knee, but I still wanted to go out at the weekend. Then I saw that this trail is only 1km the whole way, and on impulse I went. When we got there, we found out that unless you have a pickup truck or a Jeep, an ordinary 4WD can’t get to the trailhead at all! The road is full of big holes. We could only park about 1km away from the trailhead and walk in from there. After we finally reached the trailhead, we accidentally took the wrong path (photo 6). That slope was definitely steeper than 60 degrees, and we went down it anyway, just gritting our teeth. The whole way down I held on tight to the rope that decided our fate. Only when we got down to the waterfall did we find out there’s another path. The one on the right in photo 7 is a bit easier. It also needs a rope, but the slope is much gentler, and most normal people go down that way. The waterfall is super beautiful!!! But that downhill section has already left a mark on my mind that I can’t erase. Abiqua Falls, near Portland, Oregon
