The best waterfalls in Croatia

We captured a rainbow waterfall at Plitvice Lakes National Park. The moment sunlight hit the mist from the falls was so stunning it left me speechless. This kind of natural romance can’t be planned—you can only be lucky enough to encounter it!

We entered through Entrance 2, which I highly recommend. From there, you can take a boat straight to the Upper Lakes, then follow the “H Route” downhill:

Tickets cost €40 for adults, €15 for children aged 7–18, and children under 7 enter for free. Boat rides require an additional fee.

From the main entrance, the route down to the boardwalk is mostly downhill. I walked it with two children instead of waiting for the park shuttle bus. We took our time along the way, even stopping for ice cream and sitting on the stone walls to enjoy the view of the waterfalls. The whole visit took about two and a half hours.
