Chin Farm Waterfall

Today's forecast said rain from morning to afternoon, so I changed my plan and went to Pantai Kerachut instead, since it's a shorter route inside Penang National Park. Paid and went in through the left side of the counter, RM10 for adults, RM5 for students. We both put on rain ponchos, different colours, and carefully avoided puddles on the wet mountain path the whole way. Didn't run into any animals along the way, in the end we only saw turtles. At the fork we went left, straight the whole way, then at the next fork kept right and went straight. Arrived at Jambatan Pantai Kerachut around 10.55am, went straight to the end and turned left to see the turtles, then took the boat back to the start, RM120 for the boat. On the way back we also stopped at Chin Farm Waterfall, a small waterfall in Batu Ferringhi. Walk in from the entrance about 500m and you can already see the waterfall, cool and clear. You can wear non-slip sandals in so it's easier to wade in and play in the water. The entrance is directly opposite Bayview Beach Resort, at the fork go left, and that's Chin Farm Waterfall, same way back out. The whole way there you can hear the sound of running water, and when we arrived and saw the waterfall it really did feel healing. Good for photos too. From the parking spot to the waterfall isn't far, only about 15 minutes on foot. The scary part was seeing a monkey baring its teeth on the way. There's a hill near Batu Ferringhi called Chin Farm Waterfall, it's a lesser-known small hideaway, just a 15 minute walk to get there. The jungle is green and lush with fresh air, and although the waterfall isn't big, it's enough to switch your mind off for a while. The entrance is opposite Bayview Hotel, next to a car wash shop and an Indian restaurant. The mountain entrance is also by the car wash shop. Only realised Batu Ferringhi actually has a waterfall hideaway like this. The waterfall entrance is right opposite Bayview Beach Resort, you can search Kafe Vsasy Enterprise, the entrance is right next to that restaurant. There will be mosquitoes along the way, so wear long sleeves and pants and spray on mosquito repellent. Some parts of the path are a bit slippery, so also wear shoes with better grip, and be careful of your safety.
