If someone asked me is there any place in Jeju Island that is worth paying to enter and won’t feel like a waste? I would say its Jeongbang Waterfall (正房瀑布). At first, I didn’t have high expectations at all. I thought it would just be… another waterfall. But step by step down the stairs, the sound of the water got louder and louder, and suddenly in front of me appeared black volcanic rocks, deep blue ocean, and a waterfall dropping straight down from a cliff. That moment honestly felt like no photo could ever fully capture this. What makes it even more special is that this waterfall doesn’t flow into a river, it flows directly into the sea. Standing below it, water mist keeps drifting over you, and with the sea breeze, it doesn’t feel hot at all even in summer. I also walked onto the coastal volcanic rocks, listening to waves crashing against stone. I didn’t do anything special—just stood there quietly for a few minutes, and somehow my mood already felt better. If you only pass by the entrance, you’ll miss its most beautiful angle. This ticket is, in my opinion, absolutely worth it.
