This is really what Foster Falls is known for — the waterfall itself, and the natural swimming hole at the bottom of it. In Tennessee's summer heat, that swimming hole is a genuinely great place to cool off.
The trail from the parking lot down to the falls is about 0.3 miles, but keep in mind it's downhill on the way there and uphill on the way back — nothing extreme, but you'll feel it a bit, especially in the summer humidity.
