Kariong Brook Falls, about an hour’s drive from Sydney. One-way hike about 45 minutes, the last stretch has a lot of rocks and isn’t that easy to walk, need to watch your footing. The waterfall water is genuinely bone-chilling cold, but once you’re in it’s amazing. This time I specifically carried the packraft in, floated under the waterfall for a while, listening to the sound of running water, sunbathing, not thinking about anything, so relaxing. Painters Rock, a good spot to sit down halfway on the way back, catch the breeze, eat a slice of watermelon, the sunset there is beautiful.
